The project ”Young volunteers for rural entrepreneurship” is an EVS group project, which will be held in five rural rroma communities from Valcea County: Valea lui Stan, Bolovanu, Lunca, Valea Cheii,Vladesti and Goranu. The thems of the project are: “ Rroma communities” and “ rural/ urban development”.
The specific objectives of the project are:
– Voluntary participation of 4 young people to activities of supporting rural and rroma communities from Valcea County.
– Development of friendship and tolerance spirit among the five volunteers
– Promoting non formal education among young people coming from rural rroma communities;
– Promoting the active participation of young people to the community’s life;
– Developing a sustainable partnership between youth organizations from Europe and countries from Eastern Partnership.
The EVS stage will have a duration of 12 months and will be held in the period June 1th, 2014 – June 1th 2015. In the project will participate 4 volunteers from 4 different countries: Georgia, , Portugal, Armenia and Turkey.
The activities implemented will be:
– organizing workshops of painting, drawing, informatics, photography, film and communication for rroma pupils from rural areas;
– organizing outdoor and sport activities for pupils and young rroma from rural communities;
– information campaigns of young rroma about European construction
– organizing a traditional festival of rroma community
– activities to combat poverty and marginalization.
The above activities will be implemented using a range of non formal education methods as: street animation, socio-educative animation, world cafe, photo voice, film voice, debate, open space, forum theatre, intercultural games.
